This is definitely a blog I wouldn’t typically write about, but I’m going to give it a whirl. Yay for trying new things! Haha.
To the boy who gave me flowers…
…On the top of a mountain in Haiti.
You are the sweetest, kindest, cutest little kid.
When I walked up to you, while you were tearing flowers off their stems…
You looked up with your chocolate brown eyes and just stared. Then…
A smile came across your face and you gave me the pretty pink flowers from your tiny hands.
I wouldn’t have thought you could have been any cuter…
…You sure showed me wrong.
I decided to scoop you up into my arms.
I sure hope it was more comfy for you than it was for me, haha!
I asked where you wanted me to take you.
You pointed the way and I walked willingly everywhere you pointed.
I’ll admit you got a bit heavy, so I let you down…
… You started picking me some more flowers.
Other people walked by and you gave them the same kindness you showed me.
You stood there with the rest of the flowers and pointed me to walk behind you.
You turned away from me, and before I knew it you threw the flowers to me.
I couldn’t have laughed any harder.
You showed me kindness I thought a little kid could never show.
You also showed me how to live following Jesus.
To willingly go where He points me to go.
To love and be kind to everyone I meet and share my time with.
And even to have a little fun in the process!
So thank you…
…To the boy who gave me flowers.
So sweet! God will take you some amazing places as long as you trust and follow!
Awh Laiken I loved reading this! What a sweet story.
