Okay.. so this blog has nothing to do with God sending rain down and wiping out the earth. But it is a blog about God providing rain in every country we’ve been in so far.

Let’s begin with the Dominican Republic.

So going into this month, there had been a drought for quite a couple of months. We came without knowing this knowledge, and having the time on our hands for the first couple of days, we prayed for rain. And guess what God provided… RAIN. It actually rained probably every other day (with a few exceptions). Through our prayer for rain, I didn’t know how God would provide that. I didn’t realize that just by asking… he would provide. He’s such a good and faithful Father. Giving what needs to be given, and answering what needs to be answered.

Next was Haiti.

Haiti was an unusually pleasant month. I wasn’t expecting anything bad, but everyone before we got to Haiti told us “good luck”. Where we stayed in Haiti might have been more luscious than other parts, but it was still beautiful. The only thing I really noticed was the dry dirt roads. I didn’t think it would rain much in Haiti because of the heat, but I was sure proven wrong. It didn’t rain as much as the D.R. however there was quite a few days it decided to down pour randomly. Haiti was “supposed” to be hard, dry and hot. Don’t get me wrong, it was all that, but I definitely think God brought us rain to relieve most of that off of us.

Now we’re in South Africa.

Do you all remember hearing South Africa having a drought earlier on this year? Before coming here, God answered prayers for rain here. An while it hasn’t rained all that much, there are still some days where it has. I think that is God’s way of reminding us of His great promise for renewing and replenishing what He has for us. It’s only the beginning of the race. But He is fully providing for our needs; He is growing us by watering us with the rain.

“Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.” Psalm 147:8

“Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.” James 5:18

“Then He will give you rain for the seed which you will sow in the ground, and bread from the yield of the ground, and it will be rich and plenteous; on that day your livestock will graze in a roomy pasture.” Isaiah 30:23

One response to “And God said “Let it Rain!””

  1. Thank you for reminding us of God’s generosity . God will provide . God said “Ask , and you shall receive “. God bless you always .
