So November 11th is known as World Race day.. because 11/11. Here are some things my team and I learned on this day.

1. Church in Africa can look like sitting in our home and reading the word together.

2. Off days can be a little boring sometimes, and days can go by slow.

3. The power turns off sometimes, planned or unexpectedly.

4. My team is really good at sitting on couches all day. (But we’re not lazy, I promise!)

5. Sometimes our host leaves randomly and we don’t know when he will come back.

6. When in doubt, play cards… Or watch a movie.

7. “I learned that I love laughing with my team.” Charity

8. “I learned that they say ‘Jack’ a lot in Pirates of the Caribbean.” Claire

9. “I learned that Romans 10 is relevant outside the predestination and free will debate.” Amy

10. “I learned that dehydration is a real thing and you can get sick from it.” Cimone

11. “I learned that God gives abundance favor.” Gisele

I was not expecting this to be our “World Race Day”, but it was and I wouldn’t change it for the world! God planned this day for us and has already planned our coming days. To end the day off, we went to the river for the sunset.

That was our World Race Day.
