A miracle happened.
I’m just going to declare it. And I’m not going to allow the enemy to make it seem insignificant.
Because it may have been a coincidence, but I’m choosing to believe that our God is much more than we give Him credit for.
This month our squad decided to have weekly meet ups. That meant eating, doing communion, worshipping, praying, and just hanging out together.
Truly beautiful really.
This past weekend we had met at another team’s place which was about a 30 minute bus ride away. It also was one of the first hotter days of the month. And not to mention my foot was still not healed from the long hike we did in Zlatibor, Serbia. (Yes… 3 weeks later and it’s still not back to normal.)
Anyways, after our meeting we only had about 10 minutes to get to the bus stop, otherwise we would have had to walk back into town. I was not about to take another 3 hour walk. Haha!
So I prayed for the bus to be a couple minutes late.
And since there was a lot of people that needed to get back into town, I prayed that the bus would be empty.
I told people that I was praying the bus would be late and empty.
Some people started to doubt and to be honest, I started to as well.
But instead of holding onto that doubt, I knew God did and DOES do miracles. So I continued to believe. Because God can do so much more than we give Him credit for.
When the last of our members, who were needing the bus got to the stop, it came!
We had to wait a couple extra minutes for it to turn around up the road.
And when it came back, low and behold it was EMPTY.
I started praising the Lord.
And then felt silly… because it could have easily been justified by other reasons. So I left the bus situation as a normal thing.
A couple days go by, and I was reminded of how I wanted so badly on this Race to see a miracle. And I immediately thought of the bus. I know, I know, a person wasn’t healed, a demon wasn’t cast out, etc. But this little thing… this little situation was a miracle. And no miracle is too big or small for God. This entire race God has provided so many miracles that I was blind to see because I put Him in a box of what He could do.
He freaking emptied a bus for me, because I chose to BELIEVE that He can do more than we give Him credit for.
He DESERVES all the credit and all the praises for any miracle and answered prayers.
Matthew 17:20
He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 21:22
And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
Luke 1:37
For nothing will be impossible with God.
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Love this! I think we all too often miss the small miracles of the everyday because we overthink or just don’t believe that it could be a miracle!
Thanks for sharing!!
Miracles and answered prayer happen all the time – sometimes we just fail to recognize or notice these things. I’m glad you recognized this and are calling attention to it. See you soon!
Hallelujah! Thanks for the reminder to look for God to do miracles in our lives, no matter how big or small!
