I want to share this incredible story with you.
God is a Provider.
One night I had received a letter of how much I am owing in student loans. I had expected it, but not as much as it was. Anyways, I had started to freak out and worry. I was wondering if I would still be able to raise all the money that I need. I was saving my own money as well as preparing fundraisers, so I thought I would be all set to go on this World Race. However, I started having doubts… “Maybe I’m not actually being called to go”. I was so worried. So I did the only thing I knew would calm me down.
I prayed.
I asked God to help me, asked Him to show me if this is still the path He wants me to take. I went to sleep that night feeling at peace, knowing that whatever the answer was He was going to use me for His glory.
I woke up the next morning and honestly couldn’t believe what I saw.
Someone had left me $50 in my World Race fund. FIFTY DOLLARS. While that is only a small portion of my total funding, it still left me in awe. At this point I had not quite started sending out support letters and getting the news out to everyone I knew about this mission trip. When I went to sleep that night, God had been at work in someone’s heart to give.
And throughout this past month of October, God has continually shown me his provision. With all sorts of prayers, support, and donations from a lot of people. I want to thank each and everyone of you who have supported me in any of those ways. I am truly blessed to have this family of supporters. THANK YOU so much!
I can’t express the overwhelming joy about what God is doing. I know that He still wants me to go on this thing called the World Race.
God is a Provider. He is and will continue to provide for ALL our needs. Thanks be to God!
And this is just one more reason to GO.
“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
Matthew 6:31-33
