Before I get too far into Bulgaria I thought I’d share this quick blog with you all.

I’m not sure where to begin with this one. Haha. As most of you know by now, Romania wasn’t the easiest month on the race (certainly not the worst though). But it was difficult.

About a week into our Romanian experience, we got to welcome one of our translators for the month. She was very kind and shy, but we welcomed her the best we could.

My team (Talia) invited her to eat with us at dinner. We invited her into our space. We loved her like she was apart of our team.

She was the one who wanted to do the Free Hugs ministry that one afternoon in Craiova. She was also the one who gave us hugs when she knew we needed them that month. She was the one who gave us sweets, flowers, ice cream, and the sweetest goodbye letter.

I fully believe that God perfectly timed her being our translator that month.

We also got to see her grow in community a lot! Cause honestly it can be hard living with 12 other people. It can also be difficult to communicate in that large of a setting. But she got through it.

As much as we poured into her, God was pouring that much more in. And as much as she was pouring into us, God was pouring that much more. It was honestly beautiful.

Even though Romania isn‘t going to be my go to month to talk about, I definitely won‘t forget this sweet friend.

So this ”To the…” blog is for her.

To the Woman who God sent us in Romania.

If I would have favourites… you would be my favourite translator.

You are such a strong and independent woman.

You love and live for the Lord with all you have.

And you kinda remind me of myself at the beginning of the race. Shy. (But lets be real, I can still be shy).

You allowed yourself to grow so much this month, so willingly.

You chose to love when you didn’t want to love.

And serve when you didn’t want to serve.

I know it was hard for you at times to be around all 12 of us, but you still loved us all amazingly.

You showed me so much kindness, gentleness, and faithfulness.

You’re always going to be an honorary team Talia member. And we will never forget you.

Our translator, our team member, our friend, and our sister in Christ. Keep on being a blessing to others as you have blessed us this month!

So thank you God for the incredible Woman you sent us in Romania.
