You have been such an encouragement to me these past 4+ months. I never thought I could learn from, lean on, and love a team this much. But I do.

You’ve seen me in my worst and in my best. And even still you’ve all pointed me higher through your feedback.

Here are some things I’m going to miss.. but had the sweetest privilege to have with this team:

  • Gisele being a constant joy and friend to be around. Always choosing to share beds when we need to. And always bringing the gospel to light with anyone she meets.
  • Charity being the perfect treasurer to allow budgeting for team treats. Also, she’s my Mennonite buddy!
  • Amy always encouraging us to tell our stories because they’re important. She’s a walking bible, but more importantly a humble friend.
  • Cimone having a heart for serving children in all communities we’ve reached. She’s our fiercest and firmest teammate in faith.
  • Claire always laughing with me and us giving each other the “look” Jim always gives to the camera in the “Office”. I’m glad to have found someone as weird as I am.

1010 Fierce may no longer be a team, but we’re forever a united team in Christ.

Thank you for the laughs, memories, and tears we’ve all shared. And for giving me grace when I know I don’t deserve it.

Our verse… and what our team name is partially based on:

John 10:10

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

And even though the enemy literally came trying to destroy us by stealing our belongings… God gave us life to the full this month.

And as we say our last goodbyes to being a team on this race… please let us remember to live the way we’ve done so in Christ these months together.

I love you so much, my 1010 Fiercians!
